Description
The Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western Reserve University is fostering a culture of assessment that has changed the way our librarians analyze collections and purchase content. One of the key drivers of change is the data analytics tool, Tableau. Tableau, in conjunction with Sierra, gives librarians access to decades of bibliographic data that is analyzed in a completely new and innovative way. This presentation is not a demo of the software, but instead will show examples of how collections are analyzed, what decisions and discoveries were made because of the visualizations, and how information is communicated out to researchers and stakeholders.
