Description
Once flipping journals referred to the move from print to electronic journals. The open access movement has started slowly, but is now a serious factor when looking at journal access and costs. Furthermore, there are some new purchasing models such as transformational licenses and combining Author Publishing Charges (APC) with journal subscriptions that present new opportunities for libraries. This presentation seeks to provide an overview of this dynamic and changing landscape including the various ways the University of Kentucky has been responding to this challenging and diverse landscape. Along with asking the question, “How do we best serve our campus and be good stewards while supporting access to information for all?
