Abstract

This project will study the variables that impact disposition status of non-fatal shooting cases in the city of Akron. This research project will be conducted through temporal and spatial analysis of the information gathered from the Akron Police Department. This analysis will identify common factors and patterns throughout the non-fatal shooting cases. This will then follow with in depth research of intelligence led policing articles that provide relevant solutions. The final steps will be identifying and adapting solutions to fit the needs of the Akron Police Department. The final product will include maps, police products and data visualization through Excel.
