NEOMFA Post

The Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) is the nation’s only consortial MFA creative writing program. Our unique design combines the resources of three gateway campuses: The University of Akron, Cleveland State University, and Kent State University.

Program Mission

Our mission is to education and inspire promising creative writers, while giving them the time and opportunity to develop their writing in a challenging and supportive environment. Located in the industrial Midwest, a rapidly changing and evolving part of the county, rich with history, imagery and stories, we seek to help our students connect with this context artistically in whatever manner enhances their growth as writers and readers.
