Turning the Mirror on Psychology: Investigating Historically Underrepresented Areas of Research in the Field and Beyond
Current Issue: Now Accepting Submissions
Abby Stark & Hannah LaMack, Editors
Welcome to Issue VI of Psychology from the Margins. This issue's theme is Turning the Mirror on Psychology: Investigating Historically Underrepresented Areas of Research in the Field and Beyond.
We are currently accepting submissions for this issue. See the call for publications below for more information.
This year, we welcome papers that address the theme of issue six. We encourage contributions that highlight topics that are at the margins of traditional psychology; the field itself is not immune to systems of marginalization and oppression. Authors are challenged to critically examine their own experiences at the intersection of professional and personal identities, especially those that the field consistently overlook. Examples include: age (e.g., older adulthood), ability status, and religious/spiritual orientation(s). Manuscripts should be between 15 and 40 pages in length (not including references) and the first author must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
