Abstract
Glass-fiber-reinforced, rubber-toughened nylon 6,6 specimens with fiber content at 0, 10, 20 and 30 wt pct were processed by one-step injection molding Fracture toughness of the composites was determined using the technique. of essential work of fracture (EWF). Short fiber reinforcements were found to concomitantly toughen and strengthen the polymers, even for super-tough nylon 6,6.
