Abstract
A mathematical model of transient transport processes with homogeneous first-order chemical reactions or heat generations is developed. The analytical expressions for the local transport coefficient and the mean potential profile are derived based on the film renewal and penetration concept. Solutions are presented graphically in terms of various dimensionless parameters. From the proposed formulations, the transient, reaction and surface resistance effects to the turbulent interphase heat or mass transfer can be analyzed.
