Abstract
The surface renewal and penetration model has recently been adapted to the simplified problem of heat transfer for a turbulent boundary layer flow with a step change in wall temperature at process time, t, equal to zero. The main modification of the steady state form of the surface renewal and penetration model was the development and utilization of the transient age distribution; this transient contact time distribution takes the from [1,2]
