  • Unwed fathers In the State of Ohio have no legal right to parent their children with out completing complex paper work. In Ohio and many other parts of the country the law states that if a father is not married to the mother of his child he has no legal right to spend time with his child.This project addresses the lack of male specific services to unwed fathers. The project address the need to increase the number of low-income unwed fathers who are educated about gaining parent time court orders.This workshop is has two components.Part I includes the workshops that teach low income fathers how to navigate the court system to gain access to their biological child.Part II includes the train the trainer model which equips men to become facilitators and other members of the group to work as supportive staff.
