Adrian C. “Addie” “The Maestro of Twirlology” Joss was born in 1880 and died in 1911. He pitched for the Cleveland Bluebirds and Cleveland Naps from 1902–10. He was struck down in his prime by tuberculosis. The image is from a University of Akron Press title.
