Attorney Patricia A. Smith is the Founder and Managing Member of the law firm P.A. Smith, LLC. Her practice encompasses the areas of intellectual property law, business and commercial transactions, business formations, entertainment law, Internet law, employment law, advertising law, and real estate law. Attorney Smith has more than 10 years of legal experience managing patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios, negotiating general and technology-related business contracts, and providing legal advice on the optimization of intellectual property assets. Attorney Smith provides training and education workshops businesses, non-profits, and universities in the areas of intellectual property and business transactions. Attorney Smith has appeared on Kaleidoscope on WEWS-TV Channel 5 and has been featured in The Summit Magazine and Cleveland Business Connects magazine, discussing the legalities behind social media and how to manage legal risks in the workplace. Attorney Smith also serves as a faculty member for The National Business Institute, a provider of continuing legal education and training for attorneys. Attorney Smith earned a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Augustine’s University, a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property, Commerce & Technology from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
